Vara Summit Studio
Online learning gave us extraordinary reach.
But reach alone isn’t enough.
Learning can go deeper. Reach farther. Expand perspectives.
Vara brings exceptional educators together with creative talent, practitioner expertise, immersive experiences, and emerging technology to build learning that goes further.
Have experience worth passing on? Share it through the Vara Summit Series.
More than half of American college students now take at least one distance-education course. Yet much of online education still transfers the traditional classroom to a screen instead of designing for what the digital environment makes possible.

Faculty members are asked to be subject experts, instructional designers, media producers, technologists, simulation designers, and practitioner-network builders. Few have the time or specialized team to do all of that well.
Vara brings instructional design, cinematic production, practitioner perspectives, simulations, collaborative experiences, and meaningful assessment around faculty expertise.
We do not replace the educator or prescribe what learners should think. We create richer conditions in which learners can navigate complex problems, engage multiple perspectives, test their understanding, reflect, and apply what they learn.
Learning becomes transformative when people have opportunities to use what they know.
Universities, educators, and practitioners possess distinctive strengths that too often remain confined within organizational boundaries.
Vara helps institutions contribute what they do exceptionally well while retaining their identity, academic standards, and intellectual leadership. Together, they can create learning experiences that no university should have to build alone.
Vara is selecting its first university partners to co-design and test focused learning pilots.
Bring us one course, module, or learning challenge that deserves more than the conventional online format. Together, we will explore how immersive design, practitioner experience, simulation, collaboration, and reflection could strengthen it.
The Vara Summit Series
The Vara Summit Series connects learners and faculty with people who have made difficult decisions, solved real problems, adapted to change, and developed knowledge that should not disappear when their careers end.
Each experience is supported by thoughtfully designed learning resources that help faculty and students place the speaker’s experience into professional, institutional, and historical context.
